Those who are awake, if they want, go out of the house and look at the planet Jupiter

For those who are still awake and wish to see Jupiter, the largest planet in the Solar System, go outside and raise your head and look up at the sky, you will see Jupiter, the biggest shining star. You don’t need a telescope to see Jupiter. You can see it with the naked eye. The special thing is that today Jupiter has come very close to us i.e. Earth. The details of Jupiter and its approach are being presented in the article below.

Information and our experience of approaching Jupiter

This sight was very spectacular, because after seven decades Jupiter had come very close to the Earth. It was late Monday evening and Jupiter had come out before the stars in the unequal east. It was shining in the sky like an electric bulb. The twinkling Jupiter in the night sky was a very interesting sight. This astronomical event was rare. After 70 years, Jupiter had come closer to us. Due to this event, the distance between Earth and Jupiter was reduced to just 591 million km.

Dr. Shashibhushan Pandey, senior astronomer of Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Science (ARIES), told that it was an astronomical event of Opposition. During this event there is Jupiter on one side and Sun on the other side and Earth is right in the middle. Due to which Jupiter gets closest to us on the day of Opposite. Due to its close proximity to the earth, it becomes very large. Apart from this, its shine also increases to a great extent. Due to which he looked very bright on Monday. During this celestial event, he appeared all night with a unique radiance and beauty. While traveling in its way, the distance between Jupiter and Earth keeps on increasing and decreasing according to its way and this sequence continues throughout the year. Today this distance was very small in terms of average distance. The average distance is 741453748.99 km.

Fascinating Similarities Between Earth and Jupiter

Jupiter is 11 times larger than Earth in size. Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar system and is the fifth planet. The special thing is that there is a similarity between Earth and Jupiter and that similarity is the Aurora. Yes, this fascinating sight can be seen at the poles of these two planets. These Auroras are formed due to the solar wind of the Sun. Earth is the third planet from the Sun.

Here the sun was setting and Jupiter was rising

In this event the sun was setting here and Jupiter was rising in the east. This sight was very visible. Which was seen with the naked eye and was easily recognizable. Astronomers and astro photographers were reaching high places to see this planet Jupiter in the sky. A spectacular view was visible from the high peaks of Nainital.

Astro photographers also did not want to be deprived of this view and they started capturing Jupiter in their cameras from different angles.

Amazing second half of the night experience

By the second half of the night, Jupiter had climbed into uneven heights. Astro photographer Bablu Chandra had also climbed a peak  of Jeolikot area near Nainital and was trying to capture Jupiter with mobile phone and was capturing this rare coincidence in his mobile phone camera for a long time. And finally took many pictures of Jupiter among the stars.

Jupiter will be close to us again in 2023

Now in the next year 2023, on November 2, Jupiter will be close to us again, but not as much as it was this time. The next event opposite to the Sun will be on 7th December in 2024 and then on 10th January in 2026, Jupiter will be in Sun Opposition. Now its distance will keep increasing. However the next one will look bigger like this. The beauty of the night gives a wonderful look to the sky. Planetary constellations have their own beauty of beauty, just a little basic knowledge is required in the context of astronomy.
