Sun special episode 3

Only 2 billionth of the light from the Sun reaches the Earth

How does sunlight reach us

Powerful rays are born from the center of the Sun, they collide with many atoms on the way, emitted from the Sun, they spread throughout the solar system. Our earth also receives a small fraction of this radiation, which reaches us only two billionth of the solar energy. That much energy is enough for us. Many types of rays of the sun are emitted, rays of different types of waves. Only light rays and radio waves reach the earth. Our atmosphere blocks the rest of the ultraviolet waves. Which is a boon for our health. Because these waves can prove to be fatal for the earth and us. The powerful rays of the Sun form an ionosphere in our upper atmosphere at an altitude of 100 to 300 km. Gon waves transmitted from the Earth’s radio stations collide with this ionosphere and return. It is because of the ionosphere that radio broadcasts and today’s TV signals are received.

Why is it visible from solar flares?

In 1957-58, during the peak of the Sun’s activity, scientists from all over the world made a plan for the study of the Sun and the Earth’s upper atmosphere, which was named the International Geophysics Year.
Surprising new information emerged from this collective study. For the first time we learned that several thousand km above there are three circles of charged atoms. They were formed by the entrapment of the atom-particles emitted by the Sun in the currents of the Earth’s magnetic field. In 1958, scientists named Van Allen and Venorve made an important discovery of these circles. Hence this circle is known by this name. The increasing activity of the Sun has an effect on these circles.Which is a unique phenomenon of the Sun’s surface – Solar Tejogni – in which solar tejogni is born around the Sun’s stigmas in the form of bright superheated gases and with a tremendous explosion, within a few seconds, the radius of millions of crores of km becomes bright with Tejogni Flare . Is. And we cannot know when this solar energy will be born. But in the interval of 11 or 12 years, solar activity is seen in the peak period. Which is called solar cycle. This time could be a year or two. During the activation of solar flares, high-altitude solar flames rise in the surface of the Sun. Hydrogen-gas flames break away from the surface, some of them liquid which is in the form of plasma also reaches the Earth’s atmosphere and affects the atmosphere especially. Strong magnetic storms arise in the atmosphere and the beautiful view of aurora is visible in the polar regions.

The research on the effect of magnetic storms on humans is still going on. But astrologers tell a lot on this while no one knows when it will take birth. We have got information about these things only in the last century.

To say we are far away from the Sun. But our earth moves in the atmosphere of the sun. Every movement of the Sun has some special effect on the people of the earth. For billions of years, the Sun has been affecting the Earth, for how many more years will the Sun continue to burn, when will the Sun’s hydrogen fuel end, what will happen to the Earth and its living world? In the coming edition, we will keep you informed about the latest space news with timeandspace.in.
