Lunar eclipse will happen on Friday, but will not be visible

The lunar eclipse that is going to happen on Friday will be fine, but it will not be visible. This will be the first lunar eclipse of this year, which will be a shadow one. The duration of this eclipse will be 4.17 hours. According to Indian time, this lunar eclipse in India will start at 8:44 pm on May 5.

Moon will be free from shadow of eclipse at 1:01 pm

Due to the eclipse, there will be a slight decrease in the light of the moon. Dr. Shashibhushan Pandey, senior scientist at Aryabhatta Observational Science Research Institute, ARIES, told that it is difficult to identify a shadow eclipse. It doesn’t look like a normal eclipse. On the contrary, the black shadow on the moon is clearly visible in the full shadow eclipse. According to Indian time, this lunar eclipse in India will start at 8:44 pm on May 5, which will be visible till 1:01 am.

This eclipse will take place in Asia, Europe, Africa, Indian Ocean, Pacific and Atlantic

The eclipse will reach its maximum position at 10.52 pm. After this the eclipse will begin to recede. The total duration of the eclipse will be 4.17 hours. Visible from Asia, Europe, Africa, Indian Ocean, Pacific and Atlantic. A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon. Two lunar eclipses are going to happen this year. The second lunar eclipse will take place on 29 October. Meanwhile, there will also be a solar eclipse, which will be visible on 14 October. This will be the second solar eclipse of this year, which will not be visible from India.

Only ten percent decrease occurs in this eclipse.

In a penumbral lunar eclipse, there is only a ten percent decrease in the light of the moon during the eclipse. Because of which the eclipse cannot be identified, whereas in a total shadow eclipse, the black shadow is clearly visible on the moon.

There are two types of lunar eclipse

There are two types of lunar eclipse. One umbra and the other penumbra. The black shadow of the eclipse is clearly visible on the moon in the umbra. But in the penumbra, the shadow of the earth falls on the moon, but it is not visible. In fact, due to the light falling on the surface of the moon from the other side, the shadow of the earth is reduced to a great extent. That’s why the light of the moon gets reduced a bit during the eclipse.
